Wedding Planning Seminar coming to Syracuse!

There will be the first “Wedding Planning Seminar” coming to Syracuse with the first seminar starting before Christmas 2008:

The wedding seminar will be taking place at the wonderful banquet room at the Cicero American Legion in Syracuse on either a Tuesday or Thursday evening starting around 7-30pm and ending around 9-30pm.

The wedding seminar organized by myself and Jason Hatch will feature experts talking about their profession and answering questions from brides and grooms, and other people that attend.

We have already confirmed Bryan Simons from Premiere Wedding Vendors and Visa Versa Video Production as a speaker, as well as a renowned photographer, a florist and a wedding planner from the Syracuse area.

Jason Hatch experienced Professional DJ will chair the seminar, which will feature advice from a panel of experts and feature audio and visual presentation, lighting and audio displays, and other helpful information to a couple planning their wedding.

The new photo booth available for wedding receptions will also be on display at the seminar.

A further 2 seminars will be held following this first edition.

Brides and Grooms, family members will be welcome to attend at no charge, but seating will be RSVP, and will be available to approx 300 people.

A form to complete will be available shortly to reserve your seats at the first Syracuse Wedding Seminar 2008.

Saturday October 18th

Last night we had the honor of being the selected entertainment for Leigh and  Doug’s wedding at the Ithaca Museum!

Below you see a skeleton of a whale above the dance floor which we highlighted with our up ligting and intelligent lighting to dramatic effect!

And a happy bride and groom!

INCREDIBLE WEEKEND!!

Our weekend started with a trip to the Adirondacks for the Wood/Tripp wedding at a family estate…a beautiful setting for a wonderful wedding…Kevin shown below with the happy bride and groom at the end of the reception!

Saturday took us to somewhere we would have thought differently about just hearing the name Cicero American Legion BUT what a surprise!
The place is INCREDIBLE…better than a lot of high end hotel and reception venues I have seen…The food was impeccable and room immaculate

A monogram projection of the bride and grooms initials on the wall seen below
We also did our famous up lighting to enhance the stage area:

The Management asked if we were available for New Years Eve and will be recommending us to futture bride and grooms…comments from the staff were – “I have never heard such an incredible sound before”, and “I Have never seen anything like you did”
We hope to be back there in the future….
Here below is the bride and groom at the end of the night…so happy..a great party!

On a footnote..I was looking forward to the possibility of seeing Janet Jackson in concert at the Turning Stone but she cancelled….ah well !

I had the pleasure yesterday of meeting one of my clients at Justins Grill in Carrier Circle, Syracuse for their tasting and sampling of food for their reception!
I sat down with them and we were presented with fish, chicken, potato and other dishes to sample!
I loved the dishes and could have ate them all!
What a great experience and the dishes were beyond superb!
My good friends Pascal Catering delivered the best!
I highly recommend Justins Grill to all brides looking for fine cuisine and excellent layout!

Saturday October 4th 2008

Another fun filled weekend!
Saturday took us to The Hotel Syracuse – Home of Pascal Catering – great to work with Pascal’s again, having worked with them on so many events over the years and thanking them for recommending our service to so many clients!
A Bat Mitzvah for Raechel was the order of the day, and we supplied up ligting as you can see on the stage in the picture below, and a huge video screen, which we provded and produced a video montage of Raechel’s life!
We now produce ‘in house’ montage video’s ourselves, and demand for wedding montages is ever increasing with 4 new montages in production this week alone!

The dance floor was packed all night helped by costume changes and motivation by our Kevin Colangelo Premiere Disc Jockey dancers shown here in 1970′s gear !

We thank Raechel and her family for allowing us to share their special day!

We are recognized as the leading service in Syracuse and surrounding places like Rochester, Buffalo, Binghamton and Albany for Bat and Bar Mitzvahs with a full calender for 2009 and 6 dates in 2010 and one for 2011 already!

JUST RECEIVED FROM CLIENT

First, Kevin Colangelo is a professional through and through.

The depth of character and experience that he brings to the occasion are beyond compare. What is even more surprising given that he has been doing this so many years, is that he made me feel like I was the only bat mitzvah he had ever done. He listened to me, he was thoughtful and compassionate and worked so very hard to create a meaningful experience for me and my family from the very beginning. For such a busy person he was very dependable and reliable with his follow up calls. It was not necessary to baby sit him and constantly check up to see how things were progressing.

He promised a top grade product and he delivered that and more.I felt privileged to have him be our DJ and master of ceremonies.

I feel grateful for the thought and effort he brought to the occasion. I didn’t have to worry about even the smallest detail – he thought of everything.

He was careful and surveyed the site prior to the event even though he has worked there on many occasions. He did not take even the smallest risk of spoiling our event. We worked and planned this occasion for two years. I only needed a few phone calls with Kevin for arrangements because he was so knowledgeable and efficient.

His attention to every detail both technical and emotional allowed me to be free of any concerns regarding his end of the deal and responsibilities. He delivered a first rate experience and all the guests commented on how well the kids behaved. That was due in large part to Kevin’s brilliant orchestration and thoughtfulness regarding their interests and needs. We had over 100 kids – same number of adults so I think his achievement is even more impressive.

He even went so far as to be so thoughtful and sensitive to my very close friend’s child who has social difficulties.

I asked Kevin if he could allow this child to observe the technical aspects of the event. Kevin was receptive to my request and went well beyond the call of duty. This child (age 11) had the time of his life and his parents and grandparents glowed the entire time – not only did his act of kindness change one life but the after effects will live on as evidenced by the pictures that his mother so proudly sent to me today.

My friend whose daughter had a bat mitzvah several years ago summed it up best, she said, if she had had ten children she would have worked with Kevin Colangelo ten times.

I am a clinical psychologist by training and I can not emphasize how intuitive and sensitive Kevin was to our emotional needs regarding this event.

Sincerely, Lesley Teitelbaum
